Topic: What PHP editor do you use?

What editor you are using to do your PHP work? Feel free to let us know your opinion about it.

Personally, I do my PHP development work with the help of Aptana and Notepad++. I love the speed of Notepad++ and the feature set of Aptana. Both are great and feature full PHP editors, which satisfy my needs to the fullest.

I had been using PHPEdit, crimson editor for my PHP work. And a whole lot of other multiple programming editors. Both these editors makes me to write codes more effectively and have other interesting functions. cool

I'm just starting and learning about the setup and coding and such, so right now I'm not using anything on a regular basis.  I guess you could say that I'm experimenting, trying to discover what works best for me in the long term.

I have used many different editors in the past, but finally found UltraEdit. It has the functions I need and it's light enough.

For some small tasks I use SciTe.

don't like very much the idea about making changes directly on the server, I can recommend you another approach: Use a version control system, there you check in all the changes that you do to your code, then you can easily checkout or export all the modifications when you deploy, and in that way you'll have the complete history about all the changes that have been done on each file, you can have full control of your code...

I use joomla, and it is very easy to deploy your versioned source code to the production server...

I'd utilized HomeSite / HomeSite Five.5 in excess of 4 many years but unfortunately Macromedia/ Adobe people ceased its improvement.

Choosing a good editor is actually simple enough. Within my previous work, editor only agreed to be a VI publisher on BSD. This wasn't practicable to utilize every other publisher naturally we all males need sign-up and focus with an online host machine I wasn't proprietors associated with project. I had known Notepad++, so I informed all males about this and now we accustomed to copy/ modify files in between Notepad++   to/ through VI.

During my profession as a freelance virtual assistant, I was asked for to make use of Dreamweaver as well as EditPlus but I by no means agreed although I do concur for VI or even Notepad++.

I do not know, how individuals might take this, but I cannot quit HomeSite, I 'm still deploying it on my personal notebook. cool
